There were rumours circulating at the latter part of 2009 and into 2010 that Microgaming were putting together a totally revamped version of this slot which would be aptly name Thunderstruck II, and this got their legion of slot fans excited, but the main question would be would this new version of the all time classic Thunderstruck slot be as good as, if not better than the original.

Well, on the 4th of May 2010 the legend that is Thunderstruck II was launched to a very eager slot playing public, and to be fair Microgaming have excelled themselves with this brand new slot game which offers a whole host of brand new features.
Thunderstruck Slot game reviewThe obvious difference with the mark II version Thunderstruck slot is the fact that is has 243 pay lines! Once you launch the game from the side menu you will see it has 5 reels and you will see 3 symbols in view on each reel.
This means every permutation in regards to paylines is covered (3x3x3x3x3=243), but instead of costing you 243 coins per spin you can play all 243 lines for as little as 30 cents per spin (based on a 1 cent coin setting which is the minimum bet permitted per spin) or you can opt to crank up the coin values to 5 cents and then opt to play 10 coins per spin which equates to a maximum bet per spin of $15.00.
All wins pay from left to right and the reel symbols include the usual playing cards symbols, these being the 9, 10, Jack, Queen, King and Ace along with some unique symbols including a Long Boat, Asgard, Valkyrie, Loki, Odin, Thor and the jackpot symbol which is the Thunderstruck Logo.
The Wild symbol is the Thunderstruck symbol which also doubles up as a multiplier symbol, and once you spin it in and it helps to complete a winning combination then it doubles the value if that win! As normal all win pay left to right (except the scatter symbols).
Talking of Scatter symbols, the scatter on this slot is the Bonus Hammer symbol, and once you manage to spin in at least three of them, anywhere in view then you can trigger the extra special, multi level free spins round!
Thunderstruck Bonus GamesThe first bonus game we should tell you about is triggered totally at random, and this is known as the Wild Storm bonus round. Due to the nature of this bonus game you can win some truly massive amounts.
How it works is that up to 5 of the reels are selected a totally wild, and therefore the more reels that are wild the more you stand to win! However during this bonus round both the Scatter symbol and Jackpot symbol do not appear.
The main bonus game and the most exciting is the multi-level free spins round, known as the Great Hall of Spins, simply spin in three or more of the scatter symbols and this round will launch.
